Come join us for this mushroom lovers feast, one of my favorite San Francisco cooking classes of the year. We’ll work with baskets of wild and cultivated mushrooms, mostly foraged or sourced from Far West Fungi. You’ll learn how to properly clean wild mushrooms as well as several techniques for cooking mushrooms to highlight their unique flavors and textures. Each dish will feature a different mushroom and pair it with a delicious cheese from Cowgirl Creamery and other local cheese producers. These four dishes alone can get you through the cold and wet winter nights and all four dishes are great for entertaining. You’ll blow your friends away with this wild mushroom risotto. This class is also perfect for vegetarians, you can make the dishes without chicken and bacon.
