Jordan's Kitchen Cooking Class: FLAVORS OF FALL

September 21, 2014

5:00 pm - 9:00 pm

  • Gougeres with Gruyere cheese and shaved nutmeg
  • Roasted baby beets with goat cheese mousse, toasted pistachio and orange-shallot vinaigrette
  • Baked pasta with burrata cheese, bechamel, San Marzano tomato and basil
  • Deconstructed apple, pear and cornmeal crisp with marscapone, orange and vanilla cream

Classic French cheese puffs are the perfect way to start off the evening. We’ll learn choux pastry and also work on our piping skills. These Gougeres are great for a cocktail party and pairing with Champagne. Next we’ll make an amazing roasted baby beet salad with goat cheese mousse that’s flavored with lemon and chives. It goes well with beets, oranges and pistachios. The baked pasta is as good as comfort food gets. With burrata, bechamel and tomato bubbling and browned to perfection. For dessert we’ll make a deconstructed apple, pear and cornmeal “crisp”. This class is also good for vegetarians.
