Jordan's Kitchen Cooking Class: EATALY, COOKING ITALIAN

September 12, 2015

5:00 pm - 9:00 pm

  • Arancini with mozzarella, Carnaroli rice and Italian sausage
  • Early Girl tomatoes with Parmigiano Reggiano crackers and basil pesto
  • Slow cooked pork shoulder with Umbrian lentils, wild arugula and shaved fennel
  • Olive oil cake with macerated strawberries, lemon, herbs and vanilla whipped cream

Always one of our most popular classes, Eataly is back. This time a perfect end of summer menu for all of you aspiring Italian cooks. Arancini has always been one of my favorites, once you learn how to make these you’ll be impressing your guests for years to come. Then we’ll learn how to make fresh crackers made of Parmigiano Reggiano to compliment dry farmed Early Girl tomatoes that will certainly be at their peak. For the main course we’ll cook a whole pork shoulder until it’s meltingly tender and then a beautiful olive oil cake for dessert with macerated Dirty Girl Farms strawberries.
