Jordan's Kitchen Cooking Class: EATALY

October 21, 2016

6:00 pm - 10:00 pm

  • Arancini di riso with saffron, fior di latte, and oregano
  • Roasted squashes with Burrata cheese, fried sage leaves, toasted hazelnuts and Balsamic vinegar
  • Nonna’s slow cooked pork sugo with creamy polenta, Parmesan, shaved fennel and wild arugula
  • Extra virgin olive oil cake with citrus supremes

Our Italian cooking classes “Eataly” have always been our most popular. I can’t say it surprises me as this is the food that so many of us grew up on and the food I still find the most comforting. For me growing up in New York and New Jersey, pretty much every other restaurant was an Italian American one (the other half were diners in NJ). But California has much more in common with Italy when you consider the quality of produce that is available to us year round. Food in Italy is always delicious. Never too fussy but just fresh as can be while being well prepared, well seasoned and tasting great. These dishes we will make are some of my favorites for this time of year. As it gets cooler, these will carry you through until the spring time. So come learn Italian cooking and we’ll pour plenty of Sangiovese.
