Jordan's Kitchen Cooking Class: DELICIOUS DESSERTS

To be a good home cook, you have to be well rounded and this means understanding some basic pastry principles. We’re going to cover many pastry techniques in this class. You’ll learn the classic pate sablee dough for tarts, and how to make a luxurious sabayon. How could we have a dessert class without teaching you souffle? This intimidates so many home cooks but it doesn’t have to once you understand it. Light, airy, and flavorful this souffle will blow your guests away. Like chocolate? We’ll bake a killer chocolate “brownie” cake and you’ll also learn this salted caramel sauce which is ridiculous, you’ll eat it by the spoonful… Lastly we’ll be making a brioche bread pudding which is one of my favorite all time desserts. Bring your sweet tooth! This class is a benefit for Matt Skov, our late kitchen manager. All proceeds will be donated to a scholarship fund in his name.
