Jordan's Kitchen Cooking Class: CALIFORNIA CUISINE

March 30, 2018

6:00 pm - 10:00 pm

  • Warm mushrooms with wilted spinach, goat cheese, bacon, garlic chives and grilled bread
  • Zuckerman Farms asparagus with crumbled feta, dill, and lemon-shallot vinaigrette
  • Roasted organic chicken with farro verde, olives, toasted almonds and pickled peppers
  • Lemon “curd” with lavender sugar and macerated strawberries

This is really the perfect menu, it’s exactly what I’d cook at home on my night off if I was actually going to cook a four course menu at home. Wait, does anyone actually do that? Thankfully my wife and kids would be happy with any one of these. And so will your family and friends. Mushrooms and asparagus are two of our favorite ingredients. There’s literally a million ways to prepare them and these are all absolutely delicious without being to time consuming. We have some bacon in there because it seems like everyone is obsessed these days but it’s easily omitted for any guest who doesn’t eat bacon. But let’s face it, bacon is delicious… We’ll show you a fabulous way to roast chicken to ensure it’s cooked to perfection, every time. The lemon sabayon for dessert is called a curd since it’s “California Cuisine”, even though it doesn’t sound as fancy. Whatever you choose to call it, it’s awesome.
